  • GM/EC Rly Residence, Railwayman (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
East Central railway was created on 1 October,2002 with its headquarters at Hajipur when the whole of Indian Railways was reorganised into 16 zones from the earlier 9 zones(some new zones were created in early 2003). Since there was hardly any infrastructure there and railways (earstwhile Eastern Railway) had enough land in Patna near Mahendru Ghat, it was decided that the General Manager's residence would be located here.It has proved lucky as every single incumbent has gone on to become either member or Chairman, Railway board.

  • St. Xavier's High School , Md Ansari (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
What touched me most in St. Xavier's has been its openness to everybody esp. every religion. A sense of justice and fairness has been part of the institution's heart. The Jesuit Fathers are the most open minded people in the State. Arent they called real scholars? I cant ever forget the school especially the teachers who made us who we are..
